Pennsylvania primaries are at the end of this month and you and your students may be talking about the presidential election.  If you are, you should check out PBS Election Central, a collection of resources to help students learn about campaigning, the Electoral college, and the national issues.  The website is separated into a few categories:

The Election Collection contains resources for 3-12th graders with everything from a video on the differences between primaries and caucuses to a lesson plan on the role of social media in elections.

Inside the Debates  includes lesson plans on the debates and the history of debating.

The interactive map shows electoral votes by state.  There are also “Do You Know” facts for students by state.

The election process includes resources to help students learn the ins and outs of elections and the entire campaign process.

The virtual field trips section allows students to take a tour of our nation’s capital.
